Childhood Traumatic Brain Injury Support Group - Online

We invite you to participate in our expert discussion group aimed at supporting children recovering from traumatic brain injuries (TBI), stroke, and concussion. This group will address key topics, including resources for parents, the impact of TBI on family life, and coping strategies for those navigating this journey.

Examples of topics discussed in past sessions include:
Diagnostic labels, what they mean and how to leverage them
Community-based resources (e.g., SSI/SSDI, therapies)
Navigating the world of subspecialists and getting the most out of your appointments
Characterizing symptoms
School based supports

Sessions are held quarterly from 7-8p and facilitated by clinicians in the field, including representation from pediatric neurology, neuropsychology, occupational and speech therapy. Clinicians work at various sites, including UCSF, UCLA and CHOC.

This series is a partnership between TASK, PHP and UCSF.
